Not a scam. Those who can't pass the exams are simply not good enough at transcribing. It's a decent side gig. There isn't much job availability during the holiday season, though. A 4 minute audio takes about 45 minutes to transcribe, and I receive about $1 compensation. And no, it's not a scam.
