The UAS has been operating seed technology research scheme sanctioned under National Seed Project –II since 1980-81. The scheme has well equipped field, laboratories, processing units etc., to conduct research in multidiscipline areas like entomology, pathology, post-harvest engineering and technology, agronomy and plant breeding etc.
UAS Bangalore offers 7 undergraduate B.Sc. and B.Tech. degree programs in the faculty of Agriculture. These programs are of 4 years duration and have been spread over at seven different campuses of the university. The basic eligibility is to have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with relevant subjects.
