The Ravi River, a transboundary river of India and Pakistan, is an integral part of the Indus River Basin and forms the headwaters of the Indus basin. The waters of the Ravi River drain into the Arabian Sea (Indian Ocean) through the Indus River in Pakistan.
Ravi River, in northwestern India and northeastern Pakistan, one of the five tributaries of the Indus River that give the Punjab (meaning ‘Five Rivers’) its name. It rises in the Himalayas in Himachal Pradesh state, India, and flows west into Pakistan before emptying into the Chenab River.
