Dec 11, 2023 · The Ministry of Labour and Employment has launched eShram portal on 26.08.2021 for registration of Unorganised Workers. It allows an unorganised worker to register himself or herself on the portal on self-declaration basis, under 400 occupations in 30 broad occupation sectors.
Aug 30, 2021 · The government will provide e-SHRAM card to workers with the help of which they can register on the e-SHRAM portal. All the e-SHRAM cards will have a unique Universal Account Number (UAN) and the workers can avail various benefits of the social security schemes via this card anytime, anywhere.
The second one is Unified monthly returns (ECR) under Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948 and Employees' Provident Fund and Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. This facility allows preparation and submission of single monthly returns for workers instead of two separate returns.
