SWI-Prolog version 9.2. The SWI-Prolog 9.2 is the latest stable release. Highlights: Bundled Python bi-directional interface (Janus) C++ interface version 2 (SWI-ccp2.h) covers much more of the SWI-Prolog C API and is more (type-)safe. Sources are now strict C11 and may be compiled using e.g. VS2022 on Windows. Many improvements to the tooling.

Feb 10, 2022 · A new stable version of SWI-Prolog, 8.4.2, is ready for download. This backports most changes that have no or defendable compatibilitty impact. Most changes address portability issues and a couple of crashes. The main incompatible changes are listed below.
Jan 27, 2023 · SWI-Prolog 9.0.4 (stable) is ready for download. In the stable release we only deal with fixes, documentation and portability issues. An exception is the Emacs sweep mode, which we simply keep update for the time being. This release also includes the Redis extensions to connect to TLS enabled servers and talk to Redis “Sentinel” servers.
It is fine for running basic Prolog code without surprises. The development version is released roughly every two to four weeks. This is the recommended version for developers and users of applications such as SWISH or ClioPatria .
