To authorise a request from you and process it, we require you to use your unique API key in each API call. In order to do this, add your API key as an appid parameter to the GET request, like in the following example: api.openweathermap.org/data/2.5/weather?id=524901&appid=YOUR_API_KEY

The One Call API is no longer included with new free API keys. However, existing users can still call the previous OpenWeather API version 2.5.

After you’ve signed up on OpenWeatherMap’s website, you’ll see this at the top of the page: Click on "API keys" and you’ll see the API key.
