  3. Classical Indian music is one genre of South Asian music; others include film music, various varieties of pop, regional folk, religious and devotional music. [1] In Indian classical music, the raga and the tala are two foundational elements.

    • Sitar. The Sitar is probably the most famous traditional Indian stringed instrument in the West.
