The University of Passau (Universität Passau in German) is a public research university located in Passau, Lower Bavaria, Germany. Founded in 1973, it is the youngest university in Bavaria and consequently has the most modern campus in the state.

A bachelor's degree (also Bakkalaureus) is a first degree. Once you have completed your bachelor's degree you can seek an entry-level position on the labour market or continue studying at the master's level. At the University of Passau you may also study for a doctorate (see doctoral study ).
