eShram is a portal for unorganized workers to register and avail benefits of various employment schemes by the Ministry of Labour & Employment.
Dec 21, 2023 · It allows an unorganised worker to register himself or herself on the portal on self-declaration basis, under 400 occupations in 30 broad occupation sectors. The main objective of the e-SHRAM portal is to create a national database of unorganised workers seeded with Aadhaar. It is also to facilitate delivery of Social Security and welfare Schemes to such workers. As on 15.12.2023, more than 29.23 Crore unorganized workers have been registered on this portal.
The objective of the e-Shram portal is to collect the database of unorganised workers to provide them with the benefits of various government schemes. A person working in an unorganised sector should apply for a Shramik card or e-Shram card. Aug 30, 2021 · On August 26, 2021, the government of India unveiled the e-SHRAM portal for better execution of various social security schemes for the unorganised sector workers. e-SHRAM portal has been launched to build a comprehensive database of the unorganised workforce and will also help in delivering social security schemes implemented by the Central and state governments.

Matching contribution by the Central Government: PM-SYM is a voluntary and contributory pension scheme on a 50:50 basis where prescribed age-specific contribution shall be made by the beneficiary and the matching contribution by the Central Government as per the chart.
