Oct 1, 2023 · The minimum wages in the Central region have been updated, effective from 01 October 2023. Mr. Remis Tiru, the Chief Labour Commissioner for Central, New Delhi, issued an order on 26 September 2023, to this effect.
The Act empowers the Government to fix minimum wages for employees working in specified employments. It provides for review and revision of minimum wages already fixed after suitable intervals not exceeding five years.

Minimum Wages for Shops & Establishments in Maharashtra have been revised with effect from 01 January 2023 by the Government of Maharashtra. The revised rates of wages will be applicable from 01 January 2023 to 30 June 2023. Employers need to pay the arrears to employees based on the Official Notification.
