The Hudson's Bay Company (HBC; French: Compagnie de la Baie d'Hudson) is a Canadian retail business group. A fur trading business for much of its existence, it became the largest and oldest corporation in Canada, and now owns and operates retail stores across the country.
We are a holding company of portfolio businesses that operate at the intersection of retail and real estate, including a real estate and investments division, HBC Properties and Investments, and three retailers, Hudson’s Bay, Saks Fifth Avenue and Saks OFF 5TH.
HBC also wholly owns Hudson’s Bay, the operating company for Hudson’s Bay’s brick-and-mortar stores, as well as SFA, the entity that operates Saks Fifth Avenue’s physical locations, and O5, the operating company for Saks OFF 5TH stores.
