In the late 1960s, businessman Kuljeet Pal spotted Rekha at Gemini Studios and cast her in his project “Anjana Safar.” She moved to Bombay in 1969 and started her career in the film industry. Rekha’s debut film was “Operation Jackpot Nalli C.I.D 999,” a Kannada film where she played a lead role.
