He is a Pokémon Trainer from Veilstone City who was first seen at the end of Two Degrees of Separation!, though his full introduction was in When Pokémon Worlds Collide!. Paul is a character appearing in Pokémon the Series. He is the younger brother of Reggie and the main rival of Ash Ketchum from Sinnoh who received his Starter ( Turtwig) in Sandgem Town from Professor Rowan and he has traveled through Kanto, Johto and Hoenn but didn't win any of their leagues.
- Torterra. Torterra, evolved from the Turtwig that he obtained as a starter is one of Paul's strongest Pokémon whom Paul has used in his many league battles.
- Electivire. Having evolved into Electivire in preparation for the Sinnoh League, Electivire became the true powerhouse of Paul's team. It has many amazingly powerful attacks including Thunder and Giga Impact that allow it to inflict serious damage on its foes and has the moves Protect and Light Screen to allow it to be more defensive.
- Magmortar. Shortly after it's loss against Brandon's Regirock, Paul evolved his Magmar into Magmortar. Magmortar now has signifcantly enhanced strength and with its powerful attacks such as Flamethrower, it is truely one of the biggest powerhouses of Paul's Team.
- Ursaring. While stuck in a forest, Ash & Co. got attacked by an Ursaring that chased them out. Deciding it was worthy of testing, Paul used his Chimchar to capture it.
Paul is a Sinnoh trainer who wants strong Pokémon and challenges Ash. He has a Chimchar, an Elekid, an Ursaring and a Starly on his team.
