Link a device with QR code. Open WhatsApp Web or Desktop on the device you want to link. You’ll see a QR code to be scanned by your primary phone. Android. Open WhatsApp on your Android primary phone. Tap > Linked devices > Link a device. Unlock your primary phone: If your device has biometric authentication, follow the on-screen instructions.
Tap the QR Code displayed next to your name. Tap Scan code. Hold your device over the other person's QR code to scan. Tap Add to contacts.
The QR code contains encrypted information that pairs your phone with your computer. Scanning it signs you into WhatsApp Web with your existing WhatsApp account on your phone. Once linked, you can access your WhatsApp chats and messages directly from your computer’s browser.
You can scan a WhatApp QR code or use your phone number to link a new device to your account. Only link on WhatsApp Web, WhatsApp for Windows and Mac, WhatsApp Android Tablets, WhatsApp companion phones, or Ray-Ban Stories and Ray-Ban Meta. Linking your device through other websites may put your account at risk.
