Girish Puthencherry was born on 23 September 1959 in Puthenchery, Kozhikode, Kerala, India. He was a writer, known for Krishnagudiyil Oru Pranayakalathu (1997), Meleparambil Aanveedu (1993) and Devasuram (1993). He was married to Beena. He died on 10 February 2010 in Kozhikode, Kerala, India.
