Raghu Rai (born 1942) is an Indian photographer and photojournalist. [1] [2] He was a protégé of Henri Cartier-Bresson, who nominated Rai, then a young photojournalist, to join Magnum Photos in 1977. Rai became a photographer in the mid 1960s, soon joining the staff of The Statesman in New Delhi.
