Damodar Mauzo (born 1 August 1944) is an Indian short story writer, novelist, critic and script writer in Konkani.
Dec 8, 2021 · Mauzo is the second Konkani writer to receive the highest literary award, presented annually by Bharatiya Jnanpith. Ravindra Kelekar had won the 42nd Jnanpith award for 2006, the first-ever awarded to an author writing in Konkani, presented in July 2010.
