National Central University (NCU, Chinese: 國立中央大學; Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: Kwet-li̍p Chung-yong Thài-ho̍k, Wade–Giles: Kuo2 Li4 Chung Yang Ta4 Hsüeh2 or Chung-ta 中大) is a public research university with long-standing traditions of the Republic of China based in Taiwan. It was founded in 1902 and renamed in 1915.

Organization profile. Introduction The Department of Physics at National Central University was founded in 1968. The graduate program followed soon afterwards with the establishment of the requirements for the degrees of M.Sc. and Ph.D.. We have 33 full-time faculty members, and 15 adjunct faculty members from other well-known institutes.
Founded in 1981, the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at National Central University initially offered graduate degrees only. After offering doctoral degree in 1988 and undergraduate degree in 1992, the department had evolved and set up a complete curriculum for computer engineering education and research.
