What is the Blue Lagoon? The Blue Lagoon is a geothermal spa located in Grindavík, Iceland. It was formed as a result of excess water from the nearby geothermal power plant. It eventually opened up for visitors to use after healing minerals such silica and sulphur were found in the water.
