The Grand Slam in tennis is the achievement of winning all four major championships in one discipline in a calendar year. In doubles, a Grand Slam may be achieved as a team or as an individual with different partners.
Novak Djokovic holds the all-time record of 24 major singles titles, including a record 10 Australian Open titles. He is the only singles player to hold all four majors simultaneously across three different surfaces (2016), and the only one to complete a triple Career Grand Slam (2023).
Originally coined in 1933, Grand Slam refers to a player winning all four major tennis tournaments in a calendar year, including the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open. The achievement is so rare that only five players have completed the feat in their careers, which we’ll discuss in this article.
