Kenneth Lane Thompson (born February 4, 1943) is an American pioneer of computer science. Thompson worked at Bell Labs for most of his career where he designed and implemented the original Unix operating system.
Oct 17, 2019 · Ken Thompson began implementing the science fictional game, in which players guide a spacecraft through the solar system to land on various moons and planets, on a PDP-7 at the Bell Telephone Laboratory in 1969. Dennis Ritchie soon joined in the effort.
