Founded in 1923, Benenden is a boarding school for girls aged 11-18, set in a beautiful rural position, with 224 acres of parkland. The average class size is 16, with a teacher pupil ratio of 1:7. Entry is through Common Entrance or Benenden's own examination, usually at ages 11, 13 and 16.
Boarding fees for the 2023-24 school year are £15,800 per term. Fees for day students are £11,860 per term. Benenden is also proud to offer financial assistance with fees, in the form of a means-tested bursary, to assist families with providing girls with a Benenden education.
Benenden is a full-boarding school and has around 550 girls. All students live in one of ten boarding houses. There are six junior boarding houses (ages 11–16), consisting of Marshall, Medway, Guldeford, Echyngham, Norris and Hemsted.
