Ramdas (c. 1608 – c. 1682), also known as Samarth Ramdas or Ramdas Swami, was an Indian Hindu saint, philosopher, poet, writer and spiritual master. He was a devotee of the Hindu deities Rama and Hanuman.

Feb 15, 2023 · Samarth Ramdas was born (1608) as Narayan Thosar, in a village called Jamb, near present day Aurangabad in Maharashtra. He was born to Suryajipant and Ranubai Thosar, after his brother Gangadhar. Brought up in a pious family, Narayan was inclined towards spirituality from a very early age. When he was seven, his father passed away.
