Mahant Avaidyanath (born Kripal Singh Bisht, 28 May 1921–12 September 2014) was an Indian politician and the head priest of the Gorakhnath Math, a prominent Hindu temple. He was a member of the Hindu Mahasabha and, later Bharatiya Janata Party; and got elected to the Indian parliament from Gorakhpur four times.
