Lifesigns are an English progressive rock band, first conceived by lead singer and keys player John Young in 2008. By 2014, the band's lineup included Steve Rispin as their sound engineer, Jon Poole on bass and vocals, Martin "Frosty" Beedle on drums, percussion and vocals, and formerly Niko Tsonev on guitars and vocals.
Initially, the two made demos before bassist Colin Farley and drummer Martin "Frosty" Beedle joined in 1986. They named the band "Cutting Crew" after a quote by Queen, who were once asked why they were not touring, and they replied, "We're a cutting crew", meaning they were only cutting records in the studio.

Formed in 1985 by singer, songwriter Nick Van Eede and guitarist Kevin Scott MacMichael with the line up completed by bassist Colin Farley and drummer Martin ‘Frosty’ Beedle, Cutting Crew enjoyed huge success with their 1986 debut single, ‘ (I Just) Died In Your Arms’, which shot into the Top 5 in the UK and hit the top spot in the US.
