Cex is an American musical project run by Rjyan Claybrook Kidwell and started in 1998 at the age of 16. Although Cex and Kidwell are frequently used interchangeably, Cex occasionally expands to several people at sporadic points, such as particular tours or albums.
Rjyan Kidwell (born c. 1980), also known by his stage name Cex, is an electronic producer who was raised in Baltimore, but later (2003) moved to Oakland, California. He is most known for his confrontational vocal style, especially prevailing in 'Tall, Dark & Handcuffed', released in 2002.
Being Ridden is an album by Cex. It is his second album to move away from a straight ahead electronic music sounds and indulge in a more hip-hop based music, complete with rapping by Cex. The album cover is a parody of David Bowie's album cover for his album "Heroes".
