Ochre is the stage name of English electronic musician Christopher Leary. The name "Ochre" was originally adopted as the title for Leary's academic work while studying audio production at Newcastle College, as a variation of "Oaker", being the name of a street in Manchester where Leary spent his early childhood.
Ochre is the work of Christopher Leary, originally from England, currently based in Den Haag, Netherlands. He has been writing intricate electronic music since 2001, and has released on Toytronic, Benbecula Records, Village Green, Tramworks, Shipwrec, Lapsus, and Mystic and Quantum, in addition to his own Aura Materia imprint.
After presenting the acclaimed special reissue of 'A Midsummer Nice Dream" in 2019, today Christopher Scott Leary aka Ochre returns to Lapsus' Perennial Series with 'Lemodie (15th Anniversary Edition)'.
