Alan Parsons OBE (born 20 December 1948) is an English audio engineer, songwriter, musician and record producer. Parsons was the sound engineer on albums including the Beatles ' Abbey Road (1969) and Let It Be (1970), Pink Floyd 's The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), and the eponymous debut album by Ambrosia in 1975.

Parsons produced and engineered songs written and composed by the two, and the first Alan Parsons Project was begun. The Project's first album, Tales of Mystery and Imagination (1976), released by 20th Century Fox Records and including major contributions by all members of Pilot and Ambrosia, was a success, reaching the Top 40 in the US Billboard 200 chart . Alan Parsons. Grammy Award Winning Producer / Engineer / Recording Artist and Performing Artist. His beginnings started him at Abbey Road Studios where he was fortunate to be the assistant engineer on the last two albums by The Beatles.
