   • Chris Bell became the band's fifth drummer later that year, and Gene Loves Jezebel's fourth album, The House of Dolls, was released late in 1987, yielding a single, "The Motion of Love," that grazed the U.S. charts.    • While Michael Aston went solo, the rest of the band continued as Gene Loves Jezebel and recorded two albums, Kiss of Life (1990) and Heavenly Bodies (1992). The band's label Savage Records went bust shortly after the release of Heavenly Bodies while the band were on tour in the USA forcing the band to briefly split.
