Life on Seacrow Island (Swedish: Vi på Saltkråkan) is a Swedish TV series, consisting of thirteen 25-minute episodes from 1964. The script for the series was written by Astrid Lindgren, who later re-wrote it as a book, also titled Vi på Saltkråkan (published in English as Seacrow Island in 1964).
Seacrow Island is the biggest novel that Astrid Lindgren wrote, containing 360 pages. The story takes place on the fictional holiday island Seacrow Island which doesn't really exist, but some real places are mentioned in the book, including Söderöra, Furusund and Rödlöga. Thus, Seacrow Island is located on the northern Stockholm archipelago.
Synopsis. The Melkersson family decides to leave the city for the summer to rent a house in the Stockholm archipelago. They come to enjoy the simple life there and all adventures that come their way together with resident family, the Grankvists. Cast. Crew.
