Ustica (Italian pronunciation:; Sicilian: Ùstica) is a small Italian island in the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is about 5 kilometres (3 mi) across and is situated 52 kilometres (32 mi) north of Capo Gallo , Sicily .

There is one main town on the island, known simply as Ustica, and this is where the vast majority of the 1,300 permanent inhabitants live.
We took the ferry to Ustica. It is about an hour and half if you take the hydrofoil. The island is tiny. The main square is small. The people are warm, the food is good and the beaches are different. Most of the beaches are non existent but are just rocks or pebbles at the water's edge. The water is crystal clear. Great snorkeling and scuba diving.
