Oct 9, 2017 · One of the “wrestling women” movies he imported for American International Pictures Television was Doctor of Doom, originally titled Las luchadoras contra el médico asesino. It’s a little weird that he didn’t go with “Wrestling Women vs the Killer Doctor”, but although less accurate the English title is nicely overwrought.
Luchadoras Lorena Velázquez and Elizabeth Campbell team up in and out of the wrestling ring to defeat the titular Doctor of Doom in René Cardona’s camp-fest. Cardona often features mad doctors with weird ideas about crossing man and beast, or in this case: man, beast, and then woman.
