"The Rose" is a pop song written by Amanda McBroom. The Melody is actually taken from Felix Mendelssohn’s (Piano concerto Nr 1, 2nd movement, the Rose). The melody was subsequently arranged by Robert Lowry for popular use, entitled CYMRAEG, and is usually associated with the hymn, "Here Is Love, Vast As the Ocean."
