Swami Haridas (IAST: Svāmī Haridāsa, also spelt Svāmī Haridās) was an Indian spiritual poet and classical musician. Credited with a large body of devotional compositions, especially in the Dhrupad style, he is also the founder of the Haridasi school of mysticism, still found today in North India .
Haridas is a 2013 Tamil -language action drama film written and directed by G. N. R. Kumaravelan starring Kishore and Sneha in the lead roles with Prithviraj Das as the title character. Musical score is by Vijay Antony. It was released on 22 February 2013 to extremely positive reviews and was moderately successful at the box office. [1] .

Swami Haridas ji was born to Shri Ashudhir and his wife Smt Gangadevi on the day of Radha Ashtami i.e. eighth day of second (bright) fortnight of Bhadrapad month of the year 1535 Vikrami (1478 A.D.). He was born in a small village, now known as Haridaspur, near Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh.
