Jan 26, 2007 · Engineer Corrado Olmi is alone. He still cannot manage to find a reasonable explanation for his wife's decision to separate after fifteen years of marriage: no children; incompatibilities dissolved in silences; unexpressed fantasies; desires assuaged, or, at the most, shared, never out of the protective shadow of a comfortable, tacitly pre-established stability.
Since his wife left him, the life of Mr Olmi, an engineer, has become entirely routine. Nothing ever seems to change in the endless round of work, home and his hobby of fishing, until one day he is contacted by a Japanese company offering to use him as the guinea pig….
