Cornel Wilde plays Leonard Diamond a police lt. obesessively bent on taking down mob boss, Mr. Brown (played by Richard Conte). When funding for the investigation runs short, he foots the bill from his own pocket.

Dec 31, 2014 · Whoever uploaded this version of "The Big Combo" must be thanked. This wonderful noir has never looked better and John Alton's cinematography shines. Great script, fine direction and excellent performances (Conte is fantastic, Wild and Wallace were never better.)
