The Room of the Scirocco (Italian: La stanza dello scirocco) is a 1998 Italian romantic comedy film written and directed by Maurizio Sciarra. It is based on the novel with the same name by Domenico Campana. The film won two Nastro d'Argento Awards, for best actor (Giancarlo Giannini) and for best score.

The authorities believe it to be the body of the Marquis of Asquafurata, but the personal Butler who survived the fire has a few surprises up his sleeve.
Domnico Campanas’ novel about an aristocratic anti-fascist, the Marquis of Acquafurata. The nobleman secretly leaves Paris and returns to his ancestral home in southern Sicily. Posing as his own butler, he plans to sell his palazzo and its antiques, while also offering aid to local anti-fascists.
