Dermott Daniel Downs (born May 25, 1962) is an American television director, actor, producer and cinematographer. He is well known for his work on the U.S. remake of The Tomorrow People , and for his vast contributions to The CW 's Arrowverse .

Dermott Downs (born 25 May 1962; age 61) is a director, producer, cinematographer and former child actor who directed the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds second season episode "Subspace Rhapsody".
As a child actor, Downs appeared in the films Escape to Witch Mountain (1975, with Ike Eisenmann, Alfred Ryder, Lawrence Montaigne, Paul Sorensen, Rex Holman, and Richard Hale) and Freaky Friday (1976, with Alan Oppenheimer) and made several TV guest appearances. He can be seen in episodes of series such as Mercus Welby, M.D. (with Norman Stuart), Shazam! (written by Rik Vollaerts), Little House on the Praire, Out of the Blue, and Eight is Enough.
