May 7, 2007 · BAE Systems Plc, a British defense contractor, announced in 2007 that it would acquire Armor Holdings Inc., a U.S. maker of military and heavy vehicles, for $88 a share. The deal would expand BAE's presence in the U.S. market and its involvement in ground vehicles.
