Wolfson College (/ ˈ w ʊ l f s ən /) is a constituent college of the University of Oxford in England. Located in north Oxford along the River Cherwell , Wolfson is an all-graduate college with around sixty governing body fellows, in addition to both research and junior research fellows.
About the college. Wolfson is a modern college in a traditional setting positioned on the tranquil banks of the River Cherwell. It was founded in 1966 to provide a stimulating and supportive environment specifically for graduate students.
Wolfson College was established in 1966, as the process of decolonisation was well under way. Its first President, Sir Isaiah Berlin, brought a vision of an Oxford College which was egalitarian, international, and family-friendly. It remains true to those early values, updated for the 21st Century.
