Almería ( UK: / ˌælməˈriːə /, [3] US also / ˌɑːl -/, [4] [5] Spanish: [almeˈɾi.a] ⓘ) is a city and municipality of Spain, located in Andalusia. It is the capital of the province of the same name. It lies in southeastern Iberia on the Mediterranean Sea. Caliph Abd al-Rahman III founded the city in 955. [6] .

Apr 1, 2024 · Visited many cities and towns around Spain and comparatively Almeria is, compact, cheap, less touristy, quieter traffic, cleaner, with simpler/limited food in eateries. The main part of the city is a fair walk from the beaches and its limited eateries.
