  3. May 11, 2020 · Elak of Atlantis is one of Sword & Sorcerys great characters that did not receive the 1960s splendor that others got. I attribute this to two things: his creator was dead and there was no novels about the swordsman and his best pal. Otherwise: he would have been a contender. Art by Andrew Hou.

  5. Elak is his own man, not really a Conan-type, and his adventures have a nice Mythos flavor to it without bogging down the swashbuckling fun. Must read for those who want to sample the forerunners of today's fantasy.
