Stephen Anthony Bucknor, OJ (born 31 May 1946) is a Jamaican former international cricket umpire. Bucknor umpired in a record 128 Test matches between 1989 and 2009, and also umpired in 181 One Day Internationals during this period, including five consecutive Cricket World Cup finals from 1992 to 2007.
The former umpire admitted he made two mistakes in the controversial Australia-India Test, which India lost by six wickets. He also recalled his World Cup journey and his signature style of taking a long pause before declaring a batsman out.
Steve Bucknor is a former West Indies umpire who stood in 128 Tests, more than anyone else. He also officiated in five World Cup finals and was known for his patience and fairness.
