Neale Fraser was a strong and athletic tennis player who won three singles and six doubles titles at Grand Slams. He also captained the Davis Cup team for 23 years and won four titles with Australia.
Fraser was ranked in the world Top 10 from 1956-1962, holding No. 1 position in 1959-1960. In 2008 he was presented with the Philippe Chatrier Award for outstanding achievement in tennis, the highest award presented by the International Tennis Federation.

Neale Fraser AO MBE was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame in 1986 as an Athlete Member for his contribution to the sport of tennis. A serve-bombing lefty whose onerous delivery was flat, sliced and kicked, Neale Fraser backed it up with tough volleying and was a marvellous competitor.
