Jul 2, 2022 · Everton have announced the arrival of James Tarkowski, a 29-year-old centre-back, on a four-year deal. The former Burnley defender joins Frank Lampard's side after his contract expired at Turf Moor and becomes their first summer signing.
He was the first outfield player for the Blues to achieve that feat since Leighton Baines in 2012/13. In January 2023, he was reunited with former Burnley boss, Sean Dyche, and Tarkowski went on to score Everton’s first goal under Dyche in a 1-0 victory over high-flying Arsenal in February.
