    Carole Anne Mowlam (born 20th December 1936 in Epsom, Surrey; died 14th April 2012 in Lambeth, London) appeared on Coronation Street between February and March 1977 as Anne Woodley, mistress of Mike Baldwin.

    Having trained as a dancer at Elmhurst Ballet School, she began her career as a dancer at the London Palladium and went into repertory to concentrate on acting.

    Her television credits included roles in The Grove Family, The House Under the Water, No Hiding Place, Melissa, Emergency-Ward 10, Spindoe, Freewheelers, Harriet's Back in Town, The Brothers, Badger by Owl-Light, Emmerdale Farm and Summer's Lease.

    On stage, she appeared in productions of Bus Stop, Celebration, The Master Builder, Devil May Care, Murder in the Cathedral, The Marriage of Figaro, The Party, The Late Edwina Black, Whose Life Is It Anyway?, The Business of Murder and a Bill Kenwright production of The Small Hours.
