In a career spanning over five decades, he appeared in over 50 comedy and drama theatrical stage productions. He also acted in over 50 films across the United States and abroad.
Sam Levene (1905-1980) was a versatile actor who originated Nathan Detroit in "Guys and Dolls" and appeared in many movies and TV shows. He also played Al Lewis in "The Sunshine Boys" on Broadway, but was replaced by George Burns in the film version.
