Alexis Zegerman is an actress and dramatist who was born in London in 1977. She grew up in a Jewish family and studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. As an actress Zegerman is best known for her role as Zoe in Mike Leigh’s Oscar-nominated comedy-drama film Happy-Go-Lucky (2008), for which she won a British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actress and a London Film Critics Award.
