    Gilbert Green (1 January 1914 – 15 April 1984; age 70) was the actor who played a S.S. Major in the Star Trek: The Original Series second season episode "Patterns of Force". He filmed his scenes on Wednesday 29 November 1967 and Friday 1 December 1967 at the Paramount Pictures lot and at Desilu Stage 11.

    Green made guest appearances on several other television series, including The Untouchables, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, Perry Mason, Bewitched, My Favorite Martian (starring Ray Walston), the pilot episode of Starsky & Hutch (with David Soul), Barney Miller (with Lee Meriwether), McCloud (with Diana Muldaur), The Rockford Files, Fantasy Island (starring Ricardo Montalban), Charlie's Angels, and Quincy, M.E.
