Phillips Raymond Holmes (July 22, 1907 – August 12, 1942) was an American actor. For his contributions to the film industry, he was posthumously given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
Phillips Holmes was a fair-haired, fresh-faced young actor who starred in An American Tragedy (1931) and other films in the 1930s. He died in a plane crash in 1942 at age 35, along with his brother Ralph, a former husband of Libby Holman.
